Jo visits Petts Wood Bowling Club

The club, which has 65 men and 45 ladies as members, is a wonderful community asset and on a beautiful sunny afternoon it was a glorious place to be.

It is clear that the members really love and support this club, where they practise and play matches against other local teams.

Orpington FC Goddington Park Pavilion break in

I was very sorry to learn about the recent break in at Orpington FC's Goddington Park Pavilion. I met with club representatives earlier this year to discuss their plans for a new pavilion and know how much these facilities mean to the club's teams.

Pratts Bottom Missing Dogs - Otto and Poppy

These lovely dogs have been missing since 28th April from their home in Norstead Lane, Pratts Bottom.  There have been no confirmed sightings of them and now there is an unconfirmed report that they may have been shot for worrying livestock.

The Sunshine Campaign Fundraiser

The family of Sonny Ferry, whose aunt lives in Orpington, are hoping to raise £45,000 to cover the cost of a new rescue boat for the York Rescue Boat charity.
