Earlier this month Jo visited Foal Farm, an animal rescue centre in Biggin Hill. The farm, which was founded in 1962, takes in sick, distressed and unwanted animals and helps restore them to health. Jo saw the wide range of animals cared for by the farm and spoke to representatives from the farm. Small animals such as dogs, cats and guinea pigs are rehomed, whereas larger animals and livestock such as horses, donkeys, cows, pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, ducks and geese spend their natural lives at Foal Farm.
Jo said ‘Foal Farm provides a caring environment for unwanted and injured animals. The success and longevity of Foal Farm is testament to the hard work of generations of volunteers.’
