On Friday, Jo paid a visit to the new takeaway coffee shop at Chelsfield Station. ‘Coffee Box’, as its name suggests, serves commuters from a reused container box which was previously used as a taxi booking office. Situated on the London bound platform, the stand allows commuters to grab a coffee while waiting for the train to work. Despite its small size, Coffee Box serves freshly baked croissants as well as speciality drinks, such as their Crème Egg Hot Chocolate. For commuters in a hurry, Coffee Box can take contactless payments from cards as well as mobile payment systems such as Apple Pay.
Jo said, ‘Coffee Box is a fantastic new place to pick up a drink on the way to work and I’m sure it will become part of many commuters’ morning routine. Thank you to Mary and the team for making me so welcome and I wish them all the best.’
