Jo meets those affected by Orpington Village Hall fire

Last Friday, Jo visited Orpington Baptist Church to speak to individuals affected by the recent fire at Orpington Village Hall. He met a number of residents of the Village Hall building and discussed their experience, as well as speaking to groups and charities working to help provide support.

Jo said: ‘I was pleased to see the work of volunteers and charities in supporting individuals affected by the fire. From the large group of volunteers working in the church kitchen to help provide hot meals, as well as the British Red Cross being on hand for support, it was great to see the community coming together.’

Jo met with representatives from the British Red Cross, Bromley Council, and Hyde Homes as well as the Baptist Church including Senior Minister Rev Martin Travers.
