In November, Jo visited Orpington railway depot to speak with local apprentices who are training to become the next generation of railway engineers. The apprentices spoke to Jo about the skills and experience they have gained through their apprenticeships. Jo also visited the lineside depot, discussing the challenges Network Rail faced in renewing infrastructure throughout the south east of England.
Jo said ‘It was fantastic to see local young people starting their career in engineering. I enjoyed discussing the range of roles available through Network Rail apprenticeships and I wish all the apprentices the best of luck in the future.’
