Orpington MP, Jo Johnson, attended a meeting of the Petts Wood and Knoll Safer Neighbourhood Panel on Friday 1 December 2017.
The meeting was attended by members of the Petts Wood and Knoll panel, local councillor Tony Owen and officers from the Safer Neighbourhood Team. The gathering discussed issues including local crime rates, funding for the Metropolitan Police Service and the Mayor of London’s recently published Public Access and Engagement Strategy.
Jo said: ‘I am well aware of the importance that Orpington residents place on feeling safe and I remain committed to supporting our outstanding local police to tackle crime around the constituency.
‘It was good to discuss a range of issues with members of the Petts Wood and Knoll Safer Neighbourhood Panel and to hear about the policing priorities for the area.
‘I will continue to work hard, alongside our GLA representative Gareth Bacon, to ensure that Orpington receives the resources required to keep crime levels low.’
