Statement regarding incident on Court Road, Orpington

I was greatly saddened to hear that a child had been seriously injured following a collision with a car in Court Road on Saturday. I have been regularly updated by the police and will continue to monitor this situation closely. 


Jo visits Coffee Box at Chelsfield Station

On Friday, Jo paid a visit to the new takeaway coffee shop at Chelsfield Station. ‘Coffee Box’, as its name suggests, serves commuters from a reused container box which was previously used as a taxi booking office.

New Crofton Lane Post Office opens

Jo was pleased to join Cllr Charles Joel to cut the ribbon at the new Post Office on Crofton Lane, situated inside McColl’s. The new branch will offer customers a range of services, from posting letters and parcels to collecting and returning online shopping items.

Jo quizzed by students at St Mary Cray Primary Academy

Jo was quizzed by year 5 and 6 students at St Mary Cray Primary Academy as part of their British values week. The students learnt about the role of an MP and put Jo on the spot about a number of important matters.

Last night I spoke in the Local Government Finance debate. Intervening on neighbouring Bromley MP Bob Neill, I highlighted Bromley's position as one of the most efficient local authorities in the country.


Jo greets Chinese visitors to St James’ RC Primary School

On Friday, Jo met a group of Chinese students who are visiting St James’ RC Primary School in Petts Wood. The group, who come from Tianjin, are learning more about the British education system, as well as spending time in London, Oxford and Cambridge.
